I take a trip to Huangshan with four of my classmates! It’s my first time mountain climbing, and wow, I am majorly out-of-shape. But I have an awesome time regardless, and I take some really gorgeous pictures!

After class, I came back to the apartment to do a bit of homework and to start packing for the weekend. Now it’s about time for me to hit the road!
I’m heading out to Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) in Anhui province with Phyllis, Megan, and two International Business students, Josh and Tom. Phyllis organized the entire trip (check out her blog here), and all I had to do was pay her for the bus ride and hotel.
She’s a total rock star, and I’m just really grateful that I’m getting the chance to tag along on her trip. She’s been looking forward to going to Huangshan for three years, now, and her excitement is definitely contagious.
I still can’t believe I’m going hiking in the mountains. Me. The same girl that literally lazed around on the couch for weeks during the summer. I’m going to spend a whole day climbing up a mountain. Oi. This is definitely going to be an experience. Continue reading “Climbing Mt. Huangshan”
